okay, let me rephrase. Whenever i draw something for a school assignment, i usually have to keep revising it until it's perfect. but i have more fun just doodling random nonsense that making professional looking artwork.
I remember art classes... I would be finished and then my instructor would come by and say, "Oh, this needs more shadows. This needs more light...." bah. Those were the big ones. But, in my class was this kid from Japan and he said he moved to the US because he just wanted to do his art and in Japan being an artist is like any other job. They were so strict. He was a nice guy. So, I guess my point is I know how you feel. :D
It can go the other way too, my art school seemed to focus more on the "interpretation" than actual DRAWING... you know cause who needs to DRAW at an ART SCHOOL.
For my drawing 2 final, someone just crushed up a mirror, stuck it on a wall and said "you figure it out." ...umm... yeah... I figured you forgot to actually come up with an idea for your final in a DRAWING CLASS. I'm all for trying new things, but when I spent like 14 hours on mine, then someone just took an hour to smash then glue something back together It kinda makes you wonder what you're doing...
anyway... point of the story is there needs to be balance between the two I guess.
YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO, I'M A _SPIDER_
